If you're interested in joining a conservation project and living in a gorgeous country, then look no further than this trip! Costa Rica is one of the most stable and well developed countries in Central America, ideal for volunteers who want to experience Latin America.

Projects Abroad volunteer plants a sapling with local staff member in the camping area of Barra Honda National Park, Costa Rica

Volunteers work at the Conservation Project, which is based at the Barra Honda National Park. The park boasts 2,295 acres of tropical dry forest and one of the main attractions for visiting tourists is the fantastic network of underground caves and caverns.

Your stay will begin with an extensive tour of the park. You'll then be involved in a variety of ongoing projects, which may include reforestation work, mammal, butterfly, and bat studies, maintenance work, and restoring trails.

Volunteers live in shared dormitory accommodation in the park itself and there is a communal area where everyone eats together. An adventurous weekend trip to an outdoor destination offers you the chance to experience another aspect of Costa Rica's natural beauty.
