Volunteer holds children in a care center on the Care & Community volunteer project in Tanzania

During your time volunteering in Tanzania you will work in an orphanage or care centre. Your time will be split between practical activities like building, renovating, painting, and decorating, and more care-based activities, including looking after and playing with the children.

English is becoming vital in the Tanzanian economy and the orphanages want the children to start learning English as soon possible. During your placement you and your fellow volunteers will be able to plan fun and interactive educational activities to do with the children to help and encourage them to learn English. You will live with other volunteers at a local host family during your stay.

During the weekend you will have the opportunity to experience the breathtaking scenery in one of Tanzania's national parks.

For those who want to do a longer stay, this project is available as a 4-week program on select dates. Those joining us on the four week program will get extra visits and activities arranged during the other weekends.
