Teenage volunteers help rebuild a classroom destroyed by an earthquake at their Building Project in Nepal, Asia.

In April 2015, Nepal was devastated by earthquakes, which damaged and destroyed tens of thousands of homes and classrooms. Since then, we have been working hard to rebuild schools so that children can continue learning in a safe environment. Joining the General Building Project in Nepal is a great opportunity for you to make a tangible difference in these communities and impact children’s lives.

As a volunteer, you will work in a group alongside other High School Special volunteers under the supervision of a civil engineer and a skilled mason. You will get involved with various building activities, including mixing cement, painting, and digging trenches.

During your time in Nepal, you will stay with the rest of the group at a hotel. In the evenings, you can enjoy socializing at cultural and leisure activities organized by our local Projects Abroad staff. Over the weekend, you will all travel together on a trip to Chitwan National Park, a World Heritage Site and the first national park in Nepal.
