Trip Overview
What you can expect
You’ll be based in the capital city, Ulaanbaatar, where you’ll work at a local school to support teachers in the classroom and enhance the children’s learning environment through a light renovation project.
Support children’s development and engagement
Working alongside local teachers, learn how to plan and lead engaging lessons that promote learning through play, creativity, and movement. Beyond the classroom, help improve the school’s facilities by taking part in light renovation projects, such as painting educational murals or building classroom furniture, to create a more inspiring and engaging space for the children to learn and grow.
Cultural immersion and historical exploration
Experience the heart of Mongolian culture with an authentic visit to a nomadic camp on the Mongolian Steppes, where you will gain firsthand insight into a way of life away from modern society.
Your journey through history will take you to the National Museum of Mongolia, the impressive Chinggis Khan Statue Complex, and the state-of-the-art Chinggis Khaan Museum, where cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies bring Mongolia’s ancient history to life in stunning detail, offering you a comprehensive look at the legacy of the Mongol Empire’s founder. You will also experience iconic cultural highlights, including an interactive cooking class and a live throat-singing and dance performance.
Skills, growth, and global insights
This experience is designed to challenge and inspire you. Beyond developing essential teaching, leadership, and teamwork skills, you will gain firsthand insights into local customs and the complexities of community development.
You will leave Mongolia not only with lifelong skills and lasting friendships, but also with a newfound appreciation for the country’s rich traditions and breathtaking natural beauty.
