Continue making a difference with us

Volunteers on the Incan & Wari Archaeology in Peru Project take a break from digging to find ancient artifacts.

Your experience and skills are needed for our ongoing work in developing countries around the world. With your help, we can make an even greater impact. We value the extra contribution that our alumni can make and we have made it even easier for you to join another project with us.

As a Projects Abroad alumnus, we offer you:

  • A 10% discount when you sign up for another project with us at any time in the future. This goes up to 15% if you sign up within three months of finishing your previous project.
  • A 50% discount on the deposit to secure your spot on your next project.
  • A 10% discount for each volunteer you recommend who signs up with us. This is cumulative, so that means that you could join a project for free if you sign up nine other volunteers. Your friend/s will also receive 5% off their project fee.

Continue helping from home

Many alumni find that the experience of volunteering overseas was a very rewarding experience, and they are eager to continue the work they started even after they return home. In the past, Projects Abroad alumni have started campaigns to raise funds for a hospital, school or orphanage in which they worked overseas, and this can be a rewarding way to continue to donate to your placement after your return home.

Another way to stay involved is to volunteer at a similar institution at home. There are many organizations, soup kitchens, orphanages and agencies in the US and Canada who are looking for the help of volunteers. While the experience that you have at one of these won't be the same as your time overseas, it is a nice way to continue working for the welfare of others.

Get in touch with a local community service office to see what types of volunteer work they have available. Volunteer Match, a website that lists volunteer opportunities available in the US, or Volunteer Canada, a website in Canada, are great resources for finding out about ways to become involved in your neighborhood.

And remember, alumni that want to do another project with Projects Abroad get a ten percent discount!
