The Galapagos Islands provide an unparalleled setting for field-based learning, where you can witness and contribute to conservation efforts in one of the world’s most important natural environments. This programme offers a rare chance to learn in a living laboratory, with structured, curriculum-enhancing experiences that bring science, geography, and global citizenship to life.

A truly unique destination - the Galapagos Islands are home to extraordinary biodiversity, with many plants and animals that can't be found anywhere else in the world. Consequently, the wildlife here has been fiercely protected. Visitor numbers are limited, and those who enter are only allowed to leave a positive impact.

As the only volunteering organisation working with the Galapagos National Park all year round, Projects Abroad have exclusive access to the island of San Cristóbal - an island which is sparsely populated and almost entirely designated National Park. Our groups benefit from the unique opportunity to live and work in the very heart of this extraordinary ecosystem, allowing students to see first-hand how conservation challenges are addressed, while also engaging with local communities to support long-term environmental education.
